Base Academy of Music (BAM) is a nonprofit music school providing private music lessons to underserved students in the heart of Kansas City. We work to ignite a love for music in our students by helping them play their first notes, take ownership of their first instrument, and learn how to practice a skill and improve. Our teaching methods build students’ connection to music along with their confidence, self-image, and perseverance.

When BAM students connect with our teachers, music becomes a means to learn how to navigate obstacles and build a growth mindset, helping them dream of a bright future where they can overcome difficulty and achieve mastery in important skills.
